Book Paw-ty Recap: A Day of Dogs, Books, and Community

Written by: Adrianne Jackson, Director of Communications

This past Saturday, our community came together at Orion Oaks Dog Park for a tail-wagging good time — our very first Book Paw-ty! The event was a joyful celebration of literacy, dogs, and togetherness, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible turnout and support.

From 11 AM to 2 PM, families, friends, and furry companions joined us to enjoy a day filled with books, activities, raffle prizes, and local vendors. Laughter, wagging tails, and smiling faces filled the park as we shared our mission of building a love for reading in our community.

Community Support in Action

The success of this event wouldn’t have been possible without so many helping hands. We want to give a heartfelt thank-you to:

  • Everyone who attended — your energy and enthusiasm brought the event to life!

  • Our amazing volunteers — your hard work behind the scenes ensured everything ran smoothly.

  • Our vendors — thank you for bringing your creativity and offerings to make the day extra special.

  • Our raffle donors — your generosity added excitement and helped raise support for our literacy programs.

  • Our sponsors — your partnership made this event possible, and we are deeply grateful.

Special Thanks

We’d also like to recognize Jeremy from Orion Oaks Dog Park, who helped clear the way for this event, and Kevin, whose support on the day of the event made setup and logistics a breeze. We’re so thankful for your partnership!

Looking Ahead

The Book Paw-ty was more than just a fun day at the park — it was a reminder of the power of community when we come together for a cause. We left inspired, encouraged, and excited to continue building momentum for literacy in our area.

To everyone who made this day possible: thank you. We couldn’t do this work without you. 🐾📚

Stay tuned for upcoming events and ways to get involved — and until next time, keep reading and keep celebrating the joy of books!
